World Building J̶u̶n̶e̶ July - Day 10 : Weapons

king—of-the—mountain:

How does the native population defend themselves in their world when things start to get really hairy? Do they resort to the sword, mindblasts, or do they settle their scores with slam poetry?

Call the police, for the most part. There are incidents of violence in which people will take matters into their own hands and assault someone else (either with their fists, a knife, or a gun), but it’s not so incredibly common. Fights in bars are common, usually the contenders are young intoxicated males under the age of 30.

World Building J̶u̶n̶e̶ July - Day 9 : Food

king—of-the—mountain:

Food plays an important role in many cultures. We need it to survive after all. What foods are available in your world? Is it abundant or hard to come by? What would a king feast upon and what would a peasant? Are there important traditions surrounding food and dining in general?

There really isn’t too much to worry about in terms of eating. Hunger exists, as it does pretty much everywhere. There are markets, smokehouses, general stores, honey shops, and many restaurants. A lot of French and German themed cuisines. Wine bars and biergartens as well!

World Building J̶u̶n̶e̶ July - Day 8 : Government

king—of-the—mountain:

Under the assumption that your world has civilizations on it, what are the power structures and forms of leadership in your world? Do races answer to royalty? Do they cry out for democracy? Are their orders distributed by an all-powerful computer who lulls its cattle into a sense of comfort and routine? What are the rules and how are they enforced?

CAPITALIST AMERICA

World Building J̶u̶n̶e̶ July - Day 7 : Economy

king—of-the—mountain:

How does the economy of your world work? What methods of payment are accepted? Is bartering acceptable in certain places in your world? Where do your heroes get their funding?

CAPITALIST AMERICA
BJ works odd jobs whenever she can. Mostly some courier work, though she sometimes works at her mother’s teashop. Sometimes. The girl is clumsy…
René doesn’t work.
Billy works at the mountain resort during the summer. He hates it. His friends all have odd jobs around Grand-Eisendorf, though nothing that lasts for over three weeks (they’re not the best employees). Though Yannick is pretty good at delivering pizza…
Sarah helps her mom out with the magic shop. She’s horribly embarrassed by it.
Simone and Espinosa are both managers at the resort (Restaurant Manager and HR Manager, respectively). Bruno, when he was still alive, was also a manager, but a lazy one. Leroy, when he was still alive, was a private investigator and author. Céleste has her tea shop. Maximilien is the town mayor. His father, Jean-Eugène, is the current General Manager.

escalators are better than elevators because when escalators break they turn into stairs but when elevators break they turn into vertical coffins
