I heard this song in the trailer of Pixar’s upcoming movie Brave. So I searched around the net and found the title and meaning.

This song is a Scottish Gaelic (Gàidhlig) song. The song is beautiful. And if you read the meaning, it’ll be much more.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION:

My Love Is On the High Seas

On a quiet evening at the beginning of May

I kinda already knew this but to hear its official makes me so happy! :D

I don’t think romance is necessarily bad (and I don’t think it would’ve ruined the story had Pixar added romance) but it is pretty cool to focus on Merida’s relationship with her mother.

Although I love shipping, Mother/Daughter relationships don’t get enough love. So I’m taking my mum to see this because I know she likes Pixar movies and I know that we’ll probably identify with Merida and her mum. 

Less romance, more focus on family? I LOVE THIS MOVIE ALREADY
